The primary purpose of the position is to provide overall planning, administration, organization, and facilitation of all Senior Services Wellness programs. As well as supporting the daily operations of the Friendship Centre and Community Wellness Programs. This position supervises the work of volunteers and contracted program

instructors to provide quality, affordance opportunities for all.

The Financial Empowerment and Problem-Solving (FEPS) program works with diverse low-income people, providing resources and supports so they can manage and resolve stressful and often complex financial issues. The Community Financial Worker will problem-solve with community members to address their immediate financial concerns, including preparation of income tax files, access to maximized benefits, addressing debt problems and other financial stressors.

The Seniors’ and Caregivers Case Manager serves as the point of access for all Older Adult Centre (OAC) programs through intake, assessment and referral. The Case Manager provides support, information, referral and case management, and advocates with/on behalf of older adults, persons with disabilities or their caregivers, who are suffering from social isolation or poverty by virtue of being, frail, and/or vulnerable.

Provide timely and appropriate interventions to clients in their homes, shelter, office, or other appropriate setting.

Responsible for managing a team of frontline staff (Independent Living Assistants and agency staff) including scheduling staff to meet service needs; updating booking sheets; fostering and maintaining effective relationships with Consumers; reporting and documentation; and ensuring health and safety compliance.

Supervises frontline employees to ensure compliance with health and safety and organizational policies and protocols; auditing and assisting with Consumers' service bookings; working with Program Managers to provide operational support ensuring quality assurance; reporting and documentation and providing weekend on-call support on a rotational basis.

The Meeting Place Drop-in is a program of West Neighbourhood House, which offers a welcoming, and accessible community space to street involved and precariously housed adults, many of whom are living with mental health and/or substance use issues.

The Adult Day Program is a community day program for frail, elderly and individuals with Alzheimer disease or related disorders. The Program Aide will work collaboratively with the Adult Day Services Care Team to provide support and facilitate access to virtual care from their homes.
